Zar Evans is not your typical high school senior; in fact she is anything by normal. Dressing to the trendiest Goth fashion, Zar wears nothing but black from head to toe. Not that this warrants unwanted attention, but she is also top in her class and is looking at a full academic scholarship to Iowa State in the fall.
Loudon Clarke is an all star athlete. He plays three varsity sports and has the world in his hands. Except for one thing; Loudon is failing majority of his subjects. He is about to be suspended from the basketball team risking his athletic scholarship.
Zar and Loudon would normally never cross paths, until these two are brought together when Zar’s brother proposes to Loudon’s sister. With an upcoming wedding and a lot of planning Zar and Loudon are stuck with one another regardless of their differences.
Zar has hidden behind the pain she deals with on a daily basis for years. Loudon has never had to feel pain nor the ignorance of his peers. Can opposites really bring these two together or will they be pulled even further apart.
Only one thing is for sure, it is impossible to fight the connection of pierced love when one is willing to change for happiness.

This book really hit home with me for a lot of reasons. This book left me with a lot of emotions, sadness, heartbreak, sympathy, and happiness.Zar had a secret for years and dealt with panic attacks. It amazed me how well she kept everything hidden away from everyone in her life. She was alone and had no one to turn to, until Loudon.
One meeting is all it took for them to fall in love. Little did they know, they would be together more than they realized when her brother is marrying his sister. I loved seeing how much she changed from being with him and how much he opened her up.
She really opened up and I loved seeing how much she really grew in this book and became her own person. I quickly fell in love with Loudon and and the love and patience he has with her is nothing short of amazing.
If you want a tender and and heart wrenching story that turns into a beautiful love story, then this is one you need to pick up!

Pierced Love eBook t h snyder Book Cover By Design Rebecca Cartee Reviews
This was an incredible book. The tough issue of bullying was addressed! It is about a girl that is bullied all through school and how she handles it. It showed me how with the support of family and friends you can truly survive anything. A girl who thinks she nothing more than a freak finds love in an unexpected place. The love she finds helps her to face her bullies! This book touched my heart!
This book was okay, but thought that it could be greatly improved. The development of the relationship between the two main characters would've been easier to understand if the author had included scenes from Loudon's point of view. Also, the bullying that started all of her panic attacks wasn't very realistic. Being a teenager myself and having been in high school for three years, I find it hard to believe that in a crowded party one person wouldn't try to help somebody having a severe panic attack. I'm not particularly sure what kind of picture the author is trying to paint of teenagers, but I didn't find it a realistic situation.
That being said, the story was an interesting one, and it was a decent read for the price.
What a heartwarming and relatable book. I was so pleased to see someone write about this type of thing and make more awareness of this being a problem with teenagers in todays society. If you have teenagers going into middle school or high school you should read this book. I know it is geared more for a young adult genera but it really makes you stop and think that there might be more going on with your kiddoes that what you are fully aware of.
All the characters in this story were so real. I wanted to crawl into the book and hug Zar on more than one occasion. My heart broke for her every time she was bullied and every time she had anxiety. I love Loudon, I think fate knew exactly what it was doing the day it brought them together. The family dynamic in this book is also amazing, it goes to show that even with loving, attentive parents a child can still go through emotional turmoil.
This story takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride with Zar a teenager who suffers in silence at the abuse of her peers. She walks you through being bullied and making her way out of it a different stronger person. What a great story, thank you T.H. you have once again warmed my heart with your amazing stories. )
The good This novel made me tear up. The issues faced depression, anxiety, panic attacks, were all beautifully handled. They were not quickly swept under the rug once she divulged her secret pain. It took a realistic approach to traumatizing events for a teenager. Were there moments that I wanted to bash my when Zar didn't ask for help? Of course. But it was true to a scared child, and that was what she was. In that, I felt that Snyder did an excellent job of not making this a romance novel, but an awareness novel.
The bad There were a few editing mistakes - commas missed, capitalization errors, etc. I really wish this would have gone through one more round of editing to make it that much more polished for such a fine piece of work. But the only thing I really felt was missed was that medication wasn't mentioned. If Zar was to the point of passing out and having seizures, then she more than likely would have been prescribed medication for her anxiety.
Favorite character Loudon - he was her light.
Favorite scene The entire Epilogue. It was sweet.
Favorite quote "One day, I want to look happy like they do but I fear the changes I would need to make to fit in with the rest of the world."
Would I recommend this? Yes, to anyone over the age of fourteen-years-old.
It has taken me 4 days to Write this review and I still don't know where or how to start. When I first started this book I knew it was Ya, but i guess I expected MORE from it... We got to hear so much about this secret she held, but personally I wanted MORE from a secret that makes her have panic attacks and has her bullied at school. I read this book in a few hours and I am still on the fence on if i would read it again! I love the author and she writes amazing books, it was just this book personally didn't do it for me!
hat a hell of an emotional read. Such depth in the characters that I literally wanted to reach into the book and hug Zar. I'm curious if the author has actually gone through what Zar did because everything, from the emotions to the taunts were so freaking realistic. I really just could NOT put this down until I devoured this entire book. While I wouldn't categorize Loudon as my next book boyfriend, he was the best one that suited Zar. Her light in darkness. He is easily someone I could see as being MY best friend. I'm telling you, I just could not at any point put my kindle down. The character development was fabulously written and the story flowed gracefully. I was on the edge of my seat and cursing at the clowns who taunted Zar! I would recommend anyone with a child read this book. In fact, I'm tempted to let my own teen read this for the sake of showing her that her good spirit and kindness towards others, goes a long way in making someone feel better about themselves.
